Half-Day Christmas Markets
The short format for anyone with only half a day. Departure from your accommodation in Colmar or from the station, then two vineyard villages less than twenty minutes away: Eguisheim with its concentric lanes, the quietest of the large villages, and Riquewihr, the only market in the area open every day of the season. Two hours in each is enough to walk them without rushing. The driver sets you down at the edge of the pedestrian zone, both villages being closed to traffic, and picks you up at the agreed time. That is the constraint this tour removes: the car parks outside the walls of Riquewihr are full by mid-morning on December Saturdays, and the queue forms on the road well before. Return to Colmar in late afternoon, once the lights are on.
