Heated Cellar and Christmas Market
The Wine Route does not close in December, it moves under the vaults. This tour pairs the best of both seasons: an hour-long tasting with a vineyard grower, in a heated vaulted cellar, framed by two Christmas markets. The tasting sits in the early afternoon, when the markets are at their quietest and the cold starts to tell. You taste the estate's Alsatian varietals, riesling, gewurztraminer and pinot gris, along with cremant, whose consumption doubles in December. Bottles bought stay in the boot for the rest of the tour. The day ends with an illuminated village at nightfall. The tasting is paid on site at the grower's; transport is at a fixed price including tax.
