Medieval Market and Villages

Four days in the year, and nothing else: the Ribeauville medieval market takes place on 5, 6, 12 and 13 December 2026. The town is then sealed with concrete blocks, put in place on Saturday morning and removed on Sunday evening, and no vehicle circulates inside. The driver sets you down at an entry point, which avoids the Bergheim park-and-ride and the wait for the shuttle on the way back, the busiest moment of the day. You will find stalls held by craftspeople in costume, forge, glassblowing and pottery, continuous street performance and tavern food served in wooden bowls. The tour completes the day with Riquewihr, five kilometres away, and Kaysersberg: on these four days all three markets run at once, which does not happen in the rest of the season.
