Strasbourg and a Christmas Village

The day starts in Strasbourg, ahead of the crowds: Place Broglie, where the market has been held since 1570, the Great Tree on Place Kleber and the canals of Petite France. Your driver sets you down at one of the entrances to the security perimeter, closed to traffic during Advent, and collects you at the agreed point. After lunch the tour heads into the vineyard and reaches an illuminated village, chosen with you according to the day of the week: Obernai thirty minutes away, or a Wine Route village further south. Arrival is timed for nightfall, around ten to five, when the lights take over from the daylight. Purchases stay warm in the vehicle between the two stops. Mulled wine, bredele biscuits and crafts are paid on site; transport is at a fixed price including tax.
