The tour

Eight hours that leave from your accommodation in Colmar and return to it, with not a kilometer wasted reaching the vineyard: all three villages are less than twenty minutes away. Eguisheim opens the morning, its streets turning in circles around the counts' castle. Riquewihr follows, still inside its medieval ramparts, where the best-known merchant wine houses of the vineyard stand along a single street. Kaysersberg closes the day, with its castle overhead and its tables for lunch. Tastings take place at the grower's, in the winery: we make the appointment, the estate sets its price and you pay it on the spot. Three formats exist in the area and nothing stops you combining two, one in the morning and one in the afternoon: the guided visit of a winery open to the public, the private appointment at a family estate among vats and casks, or the same tasting served with a board of Alsatian charcuterie and cheese. Most estates serve their own grape juice to anyone not drinking. The driver stays with you all day and shifts the timings to your pace.
